Tammy and the T-Rex

Is it horror? Well, the R-rated “gore version” certainly is, and that’s naturally the version we reviewed. But it’s also a self-aware screwball comedy that is dated as hell in the most lovely way possible. Galaxy of Terror

This Roger Corman-produced Alien-ripoff also happened to send a young James Cameron on his way to film stardom. It’s hard to deny the strong resemblance between this film and Aliens, which he would later write and direct. Thanks, Ryan, for the suggestion!

Fresh off the heels of two commercially successful films starring Michael Meyers, Team John Carpenter took a left turn and decided the Halloween series would be better as an annual holiday-themed horror anthology. And maybe it would have been, had they not led the charge with this turkey.
