We love to do kid-oriented horror movies, and this week we turn once again to Tobe Hooper’s oeuvre for this modern update of the 1953 B-movie classic. It’s not the best, but it’s not the worst. Come join us for an in-depth review.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Part 2

We chose this film to finish up our month of notorious #2’s because Hooper and Co. decided to go a completely different direction with a wacky, gory comedy, instead of the shocking straight horror style of the original (which did, truth be told, have its own darkly comedic moments).

Tobe Hooper died a couple weeks ago at the age of 74. He left behind a crazy assortment of horror films, not the least of which was the infamous and groundbreaking The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This is our tribute to his legacy.
