In fact, the results led him to decide that he needed much more creative control over his next movie (Hellraiser). Loads of fun to talk about!
We really love our tribute episodes. We skipped over the more obvious Rocky Horror Picture Show for the less obvious but promising Stage Fright. This brutal 2014 horror-comedy-musical – only the second horror-comedy-musical we’ve reviewed on this show – didn’t quite float our boats, but it gave us a perfect vehicle for revisiting the career of this unparalleled talent.
Lake Placid may not be the best movie in the world, but actually it’s not too bad, and we’re lucky that it happens to include one of the incomparable Betty White’s most memorable performances on the silver screen. Enjoy our tribute episode to the world’s favorite golden girl.
We go waaaaay back for the third entry in our month of horror anthology films. Dead of Night is the granddaddy of them all – one of the first ever. It’s not likely to scare you to death, but there’s a lot to enjoy in here, particularly the creepiest story of them all involving a malevolent ventriloquist dummy.
