The Witch

Currently out in the theaters now, The Witch wears its heart on its hand-sewn, river-washed sleeve. It reminded us of The Crucible – both in its content and in its pacing.

This week we dip back into comedy, where a case of mistaken-identity on the part of some overzealous college kids leads to their deaths and much confusion on the part of two rednecks just trying to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Marketed as a straight horror film, Troll is more a children’s fantasy movie with some grotesque horror elements, along with some surprisingly touching material at times.
