We start off the series with a film that is often touted as “one of the long forgotten slashers of the 80’s”. Is it? Let’s dive deep and find out what happens when these kids camp in the woods in the midst of a bunch of backwater yokels.
Although he had a memorable turn as one of Hannibal Lector’s victims, we thought he got much more screen-time in the twisty 2003 thriller, Identity. Having not seen this one for a while, we were happy to discover that this remains a fun, tight (not to mention star-studded) spectacle today. R.I.P Ray Liotta, and thanks for the years of pleasure you’ve brought us.
This part is much more action-packed than the first, though…well, it’s still a TV movie. Enjoy!
After the controversy and success of The Last House on the Left, Wes Craven really wasn’t interested in being pigeonholed as a horror director. However, with the funds running low and a couple of false starts, he caved and partnered with producer Peter Locke to create this masterpiece of cinema which, surprisingly, still holds up today in many ways.
